Required Qualifications:
·
Associates degree in Diesel Technology or related
field;
·
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in diesel systems
and repair;
·
Minimum of three years of actual work experience in
the diesel service/repair industry;
·
Knowledge and experience with computer technology as
it relates to diesel service/repair;
·
Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of
settings;
·
Must be able to qualify for a Colorado Career &
Technical Credential – (Must be able to document 4,000 – 6,000 hours of paid
work experience in the diesel industry.
The number of hours depends on the amount of formal education).
Preferred Qualifications:
·
ASE Diesel certification
·
Demonstrated knowledge in welding, general ag
mechanics skills, and small gas engine repair;
·
Bachelors degree in a related field;
·
Prior teaching experience at either the high school
or college level.
Contract specifics:
This is a full-time continuing faculty
appointment for 162 days. Position
begins August 15, 2008. Salary range is
$31.450 - $36,200 commensurate with education and experience. Competitive fringe benefit package available
through the SBCCOE.

Interviewed candidates will be
required to prepare and deliver a sample classroom learning experience before
the selection committee. This should be
approximately 30 minutes in length. A
topic will be given to candidates at the time the interview is scheduled.
